Bandas sonoras: La pequeña tienda de los horrores

Originalmente, La pequeña tienda de los horrores (Little shop of horrors) fue una película de serie B grabada en 1960 bajo la dirección de Roger Corman. Éste film de humor negro no tuvo mayor notoriedad, hasta que Broadway puso sus ojos en ella; la historia se convirtió en un musical rock gracias a Alan Menken y Howard Ashman. Su música, basada en el rock de los años 60, du duá y la música negra, llegó a representarse en todo el mundo.

En 1986, Frank Oz dirigió la adaptación de dicho musical a la gran pantalla en una película que contó con Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Steve Martin y Levi Stubbs, entre otros, y con unos treinta millones de presupuesto. A pesar de estar considerada actualmente una película de culto, y al igual que el film de 1960, no obtuvo éxito en la taquilla.

La historia gira en torno a Seymour Krelborn (Rick Moranis), un joven ayudante en una pequeña floristería que decide hacerse cargo de una pequeña planta que se encuentra en la calle, a la que da el nombre de su amor secreto: Audrey. Sin embargo, Seymour descubre que Audrey II se marchita irremediablemente... hasta que, por accidente, se hace un corte en el dedo y la planta se alimenta con su sangre, recuperando inmediatamente la salud.... y comenzando a crecer en tamaño y apetito.

Muchas de las canciones del film valen la pena, pero en esta ocasión nos quedamos con Steve Martin, I'm a dentist. El vídeo incluye subtítulos en castellano, y aparte dejo la letra original.
